India ranked 132nd in biz-friendly Nation list:World Bank

India retained its ranking at a low position of 132 among 185 countries in terms of ease of doing business 2013, compiled by the World Bank. Singapore remained the best country in terms of ease of doing business.

Doing Business 2013 report noted that India reduced the time required to obtain a building permit by establishing strict time limits for preconstruction approvals.

India takes 27 days to start a business, involving 12 procedures, whereas in China it takes 33 days and 13 procedures to start a business. India is ranked 173 in starting a business, while China is ranked 151.

Among the BRICs nations, India and China, were ranked amongst the top 50 improvers since 2005.
